Anfahrt: Miradouro - Encumeada-Pass

Verlauf: Weil ich von meinem Ausflug zum Stonehenge und zum Felsentor an der Levada do Lombo do Mouro so früh zurück war, habe ich mich spontan entschlossen, mir endlich mal den Abschnitt der Levada das Rabacas vom Encumeada-Pass bis zum langen Tunnel anzuschauen, den ich bis jetzt noch nie erwandert habe.
Vom Encumeada-Pass auf dem Canal do Norte bis zum Tunnel der Levada do Norte.
Ab hier aussichtsreich durch blühende Ginsterwälder bis zur grossen Bachverbauung in der Ribeira da Choca. Durch den erstaunlich trockenen kurzen Tunnel ins wunderschöne Tal der Ribeira da Faja das Eguas mit dem Ausblick auf die Crista do Galo. Zu meinem Lieblingslevadahaus und zum Eingang des langen Tunnels in den Cascalho.
Ich habe noch kurz nachgeschaut, wie der Wegeinstieg zur Sergiotafel hoch aussieht, alles bestens!
Zurück durch den Tunnel und kurz auf die Unterhaltswege der Bachverbauung hochgekraxelt. Ganz schön exponiert, aber gut gesichert.
Zurück auf der Levada bis zum Encumeada-Pass.


Distanz: 8.5 Km, 45 Hm Aufstieg, 45 Hm Abstieg

Start: 14.50 Encumeada-Pass

Ende: 17.10 Encumeada-Pass

Zustand: Die Levada ist in gutem Zustand, im hinteren Teil häufig ohne Drahtsicherung, aber immer breit
Die Bachverbauung ist gut gesichert, aber sicher nicht für jedermann ein Genuss!

Bemerkungen: Wunderschöne Levada mit wechselnden Aussichten auch auf den Pico Grande und die umliegenden Erhebungen, im Frühjahr mit dem blühenden Ginster traumhaft!
