Anfahrt: Calheta - Barreiro e Feiteiras

Verlauf: Von Barreiro e Feiteiras entlang der Levada Nova gegen die Fliessrichtung über alle 3 Seitenäste der Ribeira da Madalena.
Besuch der 3 interessanten Bachverbauungen und Seitenäste und vor allem das mittlere Seitental der Ribeira.
Zurück auf dem gleichen Weg.

Distanz: 7.4 Km, 20 Hm Aufstieg, 20 Hm Abstieg

Start: 13.15 Barreiro e Feiteiras

Ende: 15.30 Barreiro e Feiteiras

Zustand: Die Levada Nova ist hier ziemlich ausgesetzt und nur teilweise gesichert. Aber mit Vorischt gut zu gehen.
Die westlichste Bachquerung bzw. dort die westliche Bachverbauung kann bei meiner Körpergrösse nur kriechend erreicht werden (Felsüberhänge), ziemlich ausgesetzt, aber stabile Betonmauer.
Der östliche Zugang ist auf einem guten Weg entlang der Levada zu erreichen.
Die mittlere Bachquerung ist über einen schmalen Trampelpfad zu erreichen, etwas rutschig, danach im Bachbett bis zu den Wasserfällen.
Die östliche Bachquerung ist neben der zufliessenden Levada zu erreichen, etwas schmal, aber nicht problematisch

Bemerkungen: Auf diesem Abschnitt waren wir erstmals 2016. Den ganzen Abschnitt von Arco nach Canhas haben wir dann 2021 begangen. Dabei habe auch die beiden östlichen Bachabschnitte in den Seitentälern entdeckt.
Die improvisierte Leiter zum höhergelegenen Bachabschnitt in der mittleren Bachquerung ist leider verschwunden!
