02.09.2018 5 Bissen im Turtmanntal (Obere und Undri Riederu, Fätschi, Obri Leiggeru, Ärgischer Wasserleitu)

Anfahrt: Réchy - Tennen (Gampel-Steg)

Verlauf: Start bei den alten Militärbaracken in Tennen und Aufstieg auf der Underi Riederu, Wechsel auf die Obere Riederu und später wieder auf die Underi bis zur Kreuzung mit der Strasse von Turtmann nach Ergisch. Entlang der nun verrohrten Suone bis zur Strassenkreuzung, unterhalb der Strasse weiter auf Wanderweg bis zur Brücke über die Turtmanna, hier kurzer Ausflug an die Fassung der Riederu, weiter auf Wanderweg bis zur Kreuzung mit der Fätschi, zuerst zur Fassung, dann in Fliessrichtung, bis es nicht mehr weitergeht und Aufstieg nach Unterems.
Im Dorf entlang des Endastes der Undri Leiggeru auf dem Bärenpfad bis zur Obri Leiggeru, dieser entlang gegen die Fliessrichtung bis zum Wasserzufluss, zur Galerie und schliesslich zur alten Fassung. Aufstieg zur Brücke über die Turtmanna und kurz weiter zur Fassung des Kraftwerkszuflusses nach Oberems. Zurück zur Brücke und auf der andern Bachseite zur Stelle, wo der verrohrte Zufluss der Ärgischer Wasserleitu an die Oberfläche kommt.
Auf der wunderschönen Suone bis zu deren Abzweig auf die Felder oberhalb von Ergisch, Besichtigung des authentischen Dorfkerns und Abstieg auf Wanderweg nach Tennen, kurz vor Erreichen der Baracken Abstecher zum Wasserfall des Tännbaches

Die Suonen der Turtmanna:



Die Obere und die Untere Riederu sind sehr alt. Sie haben eine gemeinsame Fassung in der Turtmanna und trennen sich bei 'Zum Chrüz' bei der Kreuzung mit der Strasse nach Ergisch. Sie führen beide noch Wasser bis Trogarä. Hier wird das Restwasser der oberen in die untere Riederu geleitet, die obere ist ab hier stillgelegt. Das Wasser der unteren wird zur traditionellen Bewässerung verwendet und das Restwasser in den Tännbach geleitet.

Die Fätschi wird erstmals um 1586 erwähnt. Sie wird in der Turtmanna gefasst und leitet Wasser bis nach Kastleren.

Die Obere und die untere Leiggeru werden bereits 1240 erwähnt als Grenze zwischen Ems und Leuk. Beide fassten füher ihr Wasser in der Turtmanna, heute sind beide Fassungen aufgegeben und die obere Leiggeru bezieht ihr Wasser vermutlich aus der Kraftwerksröhre zwischen Turtmanna und Oberems. Die untere Leiggeru wird durch einen Seitenast der oberen gespiesen. Nach Oberems vereinen sich die beiden Äste und die Suone leitet ihr Wasser bis Agarn.

Die Ärgischer Wasserleitu bezieht ihr Wasser aus der Turtmanna, vermutlich aus dem Entsander der Kraftwerksröhre nach Oberems. Die ersten 300 Meter wurden neu in Rohre verlegt. Danach fliesst sie offen und nur selten in Rohren durch Felswände bis oberhalb von Ergisch, wo sie sich in die Alte, das Chummuwasser und das Dorfwasser aufteilt.

Das Kraftwerk Turtmann:



Die Illsee-Turtmannwerke wurden 1923 bis 1928 gebaut. Das Wasser des Illsees und der Meretschialp (dieses wird in den Stollen hochgepumpt) wird im Kraftwerk Oberems turbiniert und ins Ausgleichbecken geleitet. In dieses fliesst ebenfalls Wasser aus der Turtmanna, welches bei Hübschweid gefasst wird, über eine eingegrabene Hangleitung.
Aus dem Ausgleichbecken fliesst das Wasser in die Zentrale Turtmann.
1943 wurde die Staumauer am Illsee um 7 Meter erhöht und es wird mit überschüssiger Sommerenergie Wasser von Oberems in den Illsee gepumpt. 1953 wurde die Kapazität im Hübschweidli ausgebaut, für die Verarbeitung des Mehrwassers wurde in der Zentrale Turtmann eine weitere Maschinengruppe installiert. Mehr Wasser ist aus der Turtmanna nicht mehr zu entnehmen, weil das Kraftwerk Gougra das Wasser aus dem Turtmannsee ins Eifischtal überleitet. 2007 ging die Konzession an die Argessa.
